Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme Delayed, November-December Installments Not Received Even After KYC, Women Distressed
Maharashtra News: Under the Maharashtra Chief Minister's Majhi Ladki Bahin (My Beloved Sister) scheme, many beneficiary women have yet to receive the installments for November and December 2025. When will the January installment arrive?
Maharashtra News: Many beneficiary women under the Maharashtra Chief Minister's Majhi Ladki Bahin (My Beloved Sister) scheme have yet to receive the installments for November and December 2025, causing them considerable distress. The last date for completing KYC for the Ladki Bahin scheme was December 31, 2025. However, even after completing KYC, many beneficiaries have not received the November and December payments.
What are the real difficulties faced by the beneficiaries?
Chanchal Yadav, a resident of Mumbai, says, "I completed the KYC for the Ladki Bahin scheme. But I haven't received the money for November and December yet. I'm trying to log in to the Ladki Bahin scheme portal, but I'm not even receiving the OTP. So, what is the reason for the money not being credited? I don't understand."
Taisim Pathan from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar says, "I am a housewife, we don't even own a four-wheeler in our family's name, and we completed the KYC, but we still haven't received the money from the Ladki Bahin scheme."
Soni Ghotkar, a resident of Pune, says, "I haven't received the money from the Ladki Bahin scheme for two months. Yesterday, money was credited to the accounts of many women. I checked all my bank accounts, but I didn't receive the Ladki Bahin scheme installment. Why is the government doing this to us, even after we completed the KYC?" Soni Ghotkar questioned the government.
Many beneficiaries across the state have not received the scheme's money despite completing the KYC. Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare stated that they have transferred two installments for November and December to eligible beneficiaries. The money was deposited into the accounts of eligible women before the municipal elections. The payments for two months were supposed to be deposited together. However, the Election Commission has put a stop to the advance payment, so the government has only disbursed the funds for the month of December.
When will the January installment be released?
Last year, during the assembly elections, two installments of the Ladki Behan Yojana were disbursed together, which drew criticism from the opposition. This time too, the funds for November and December were supposed to be disbursed together. However, the opposition objected to this. The Congress party filed a complaint with the State Election Commission regarding this matter. Following this, the government has now only released the regular installments for November and December. The January installment has not been released. The government has not yet provided any clarification regarding when the January installment will be released.
