Madrasa students cannot apply for every job, know why the UP government said so
Madrassa Degrees: The UP government has put forth its stand on the Madrasa education system and said that the students coming from here are fit only for those jobs in which the qualification is 10th-12th pass. What is the matter, know?
Apart from the State Board and Central Board, there is another board called the Madrasa Board, from which many students study. However, their study pattern is quite different compared to the State and Central Board. Some special students chose it and now the UP government has said a big thing about the Madrasa Board. In the Supreme Court, the UP government has said on the Madrasa education system that the students studying here are completely different from the students studying in the mainstream. They can be considered eligible only for those jobs for which the eligibility is 10th and 12th pass.
More focus on religion
Uttar Pradesh told the Supreme Court that in the studies done in Madrasa, more focus is done on religion than studies. These are completely different from mainstream students because their focus is more elsewhere. Let us tell you that Allahabad High Court abolished the Madrasa Education Act 2004 and said that it is against fundamental rights and secularism.
Petition filed in Supreme Court
A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court against this decision of Allahabad High Court. While presenting its side on this, the UP government said these things. The state says that mainstream subjects are taught in Madrasa till class 8. These are based on the syllabus of the State Council of Educational Research and Training. Whereas mainstream subjects are not compulsory in classes 9th and 10th.
Only these subjects have to be chosen.
Students have to choose only one subject from these main subjects. These are – Maths, Home Science (only for girls), Logic and Philosophy, Social Science, Science, and Traditional Medical Science.
Not eligible for state and central jobs
The UP government further said that this board gives Kamil and Fazil degrees at UG and PG levels which are completely different from mainstream education (at both state and central levels). Candidates taking these degrees cannot be considered eligible for various jobs coming from the state and center.
For this reason, students coming out from here can be considered eligible only for those jobs in which the educational qualification is 10th and 12th pass. In this case, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights said that the education given in madrasas is not comprehensive.
