PM Modi made many big announcements in his address, in which he said that India is continuously working in the semiconductor sector, and Made in India chips will come in the Indian market by the end of this year.

PM Modi said from the ramparts of the Red Fort that today we are pursuing the goal of semiconductors in mission mode. By the end of this year, Made in India, i.e., chips made in India, made by the people of India, will come to the market. India is investing thousands of crores of rupees in Mission Green.

The Prime Minister said that the plan to set up a semiconductor manufacturing factory came 50-60 years ago, but the files got stuck, hung, and went astray. 50 years ago, the semiconductor file was buried. But now, Made in India semiconductors will come to the market. Six units have been built, and four more semiconductor plants have been given the green signal.

PM Modi said that by the end of this year, India will make its semiconductors. Chips made by the people of India will come to the Indian market. In the field of energy, we all know that we are dependent on many countries for energy. We have to spend lakhs and crores of rupees for petrol, diesel, and gas. We have to make the country self-reliant in this crisis. Today, solar energy has increased 30 times in 11 years. He said that India can compete with other countries like Taiwan, America, China, and South Korea, which are leaders in the production, design and export of semiconductors.

Ten semiconductor units have been announced so far under the India Semiconductor Mission of the IT Ministry in the country, most of which are focused on assembly and packaging and only two units are dedicated to fabrication.
