LPG Shortage: No Cylinder Without eKYC; Mandatory for All Customers..
LPG e-KYC Mandatory: Due to ongoing tensions in the Middle East, the country is currently experiencing a shortage of LPG. In several locations, restaurants have been forced to shut down, while many individuals are unable to receive their cylinders even after booking them. Amidst this situation, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has now made it mandatory for all domestic LPG consumers to complete biometric Aadhaar authentication, or e-KYC. If a consumer fails to complete the KYC process, they may cease receiving gas services and subsidies. For your information, consumers do not need to visit any agency or center to complete the e-KYC process; this biometric Aadhaar authentication can be easily performed from the comfort of one's home using a mobile phone.
