LPG Rates Today (May 6): This marks the third month of the conflict between the United States and Iran, a situation that continues to exert mounting pressure on oil prices. Amidst the tensions between the two nations, an effective blockade of the Strait of Hormuz remains in force. This is a critical maritime route through which fuel supplies are transported to various countries across the globe.
In April of this year—in retaliation to the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports—Iran brought commercial traffic passing through the Strait of Hormuz to a near-complete standstill. This action has had a detrimental impact on global oil and gas supplies, as well as on their pricing. Consequently, commercial LPG prices in India have been revised for the third time since the conflict began on April 28.
