LPG Rate Today: The government has lifted the restrictions imposed on the supply of non-domestic LPG during the West Asia crisis and restored it to previous levels.

LPG Rate Today (June 26): In a major relief for industrial and commercial LPG customers, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has removed all restrictions—in place for the last two months—on the supply of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders and restored supply to earlier levels. This decision follows the easing of tensions in West Asia, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and a drop in crude oil prices, all of which have normalized gas imports via maritime routes.

What were the restrictions?

Amidst rising tensions in West Asia following the outbreak of conflict involving Iran, the US, and Israel in February, the government took a significant decision in April. A "15-day lock-in rule" was implemented to curb the black marketing and hoarding of commercial cylinders. Under this rule, business owners—such as those running hotels, restaurants, or PGs—were unable to book a second commercial cylinder within a 15-day period; however, this rule has now been revoked. Meanwhile, LPG prices across the country remain stable today. In Delhi, the price of a domestic gas cylinder is ₹942, while a commercial gas cylinder costs ₹3,113.5.
