However, the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders was raised on September 1. Prices increased by approximately ₹9.50 to ₹11.50 per cylinder across various cities. This hike could impact operating costs for businesses such as hotels, restaurants, *dhabas*, and catering services.

Why have domestic LPG prices remained unchanged?

Despite continuous fluctuations in crude oil prices in the international market, domestic LPG prices have been kept stable this month. Neither the government nor state-run oil companies have announced any hike in the rates for 14.2 kg cylinders.

On the other hand, the impact of crude oil prices crossing $95 per barrel in the international market and rising gas import costs was reflected in commercial LPG prices. This led to a marginal increase in the price of 19 kg cylinders.

When were domestic LPG prices last changed?

The last change in domestic LPG cylinder prices occurred in June 2026. At that time, the price of the 14.2 kg cylinder was increased by approximately ₹29.
