LPG Price Hike Ahead of Diwali: LPG prices are reviewed at the beginning of every month. In the latest review, effective November 1, the prices of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders have been increased across cities from Delhi to Chennai. Meanwhile, the prices of 14.2 kg domestic cooking gas cylinders remain unchanged. Since there has been no hike in the price of domestic cylinders, the general public is not directly affected; however, the increase in the cost of commercial cylinders could lead to higher prices for food and beverages at hotels and eateries—meaning the impact may be felt indirectly by the common man.

New Prices for Commercial Cylinders

According to media reports, a 19 kg commercial cylinder in the national capital, Delhi, will now cost ₹2,820, up from ₹2,810. Prices were also raised on October 1, when each cylinder became dearer by ₹62.50. In Chennai, the price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder has increased by ₹11.50 to ₹2,994.50, while in Mumbai, it is now priced at ₹2,764.

Current Prices for Domestic Cylinders

The price of the 14.2 kg domestic cylinder used in households remains unchanged, having also stayed stable throughout the previous month, October. Currently, it is priced at ₹942.00 in Delhi, ₹968.00 in Kolkata, ₹941.50 in Mumbai, and ₹957.50 in Chennai.
