Why do LPG rates change on the first of every month?

Oil companies typically review LPG prices on the first day of every month. Factors such as the cost of gas in the international market, the rupee-dollar exchange rate, transportation expenses, and local levies influence prices. Since the prices for domestic and commercial cylinders are determined separately, an increase in the price of commercial gas does not necessarily mean that the price of domestic cylinders will also rise.
