LPG Cylinder Price Today: There is good news once again regarding the household kitchen budget. As of now, there has been no hike in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders for October. This brings some relief to families managing their household budgets during the festive season; the price of the 14.2 kg domestic cylinder remains unchanged as of October 7. However, the LPG price scenario is not limited to domestic consumers alone. The start of October did not bring relief for commercial cylinder users; the price of the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder was increased effective October 1. This could directly impact the operating costs of hotels, restaurants, *dhabas*, and food businesses of all sizes.

In short, while household kitchens have found relief regarding LPG prices this month, businesses are facing increased costs. Attention now turns to the current prices of domestic and commercial cylinders across various cities.

Commercial cylinder becomes costlier

While domestic consumers received relief at the beginning of October, the costs for commercial LPG users increased. The hike in the price of 19-kg cylinders could impact businesses that require large quantities of LPG for cooking.

In Delhi, the price of a commercial cylinder has risen by ₹62.50. Increases of approximately ₹63 in Mumbai and around ₹71.50 in Patna have also been reported.

Why hasn't the price of domestic LPG increased?

Factors such as international market conditions, crude oil prices, the rupee-dollar exchange rate, and government policies play a crucial role in determining LPG prices. Decisions made by the government and oil companies also influence domestic LPG rates. For now, the price of the 14.2-kg cylinder for domestic consumers has remained unchanged in October. Conversely, the rise in commercial LPG prices has increased costs for business owners.

Relief for households during the festive season

Household expenses typically rise during the festive season. Amidst this, the stability of cooking gas prices comes as a relief to families. Currently, consumers will not have to pay extra for domestic LPG cylinders, whereas businesses using commercial gas will face higher costs due to the price hike.
