LPG e-KYC Deadline: Big relief for LPG customers; e-KYC deadline extended—.check the new date.
There is welcome news for LPG cylinder consumers. Oil marketing companies have extended the deadline for completing the e-KYC process for LPG connections. The previous deadline of August 16, 2026, has now been extended to August 23, 2026.
Consumers who have already completed their e-KYC do not need to do it again. If you are unsure about the status of your connection, you can easily check it via the respective gas company's official mobile app or by contacting your nearest gas agency. Consumers with incomplete KYC should ensure they complete the process by August 23, 2026.
**Why is e-KYC necessary?**
KYC completion is mandatory for domestic gas consumers. It verifies that the gas cylinder is being delivered to the correct and eligible individual. However, despite repeated reminders from companies, a large number of LPG consumers have not yet completed their KYC.
In Madhya Pradesh alone, over 3.9 million (39 lakh) customers have not yet completed their e-KYC. Consequently, companies like Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) and Indian Oil Corporation are urging customers via social media and SMS to complete their KYC.
**How to complete LPG e-KYC?**
The e-KYC process is very simple. You can complete it in three ways:
**Via Mobile App:** If you are an Indian Oil customer, you can use the 'IndianOil ONE' app; if you are a Hindustan Petroleum customer, you can use the 'HP Pay' app. Both allow you to complete the KYC process from the comfort of your home using biometric or face authentication.
**By Visiting the Gas Agency:** Visit your gas agency with your Aadhaar card and gas connection passbook, and complete the e-KYC process using your fingerprints. With the help of the delivery boy: When the cylinder arrives at your home, you can complete the e-KYC process through biometric verification using the machine carried by the delivery person.
