LPG connections to be disconnected for 2,500 households in this UP city—why was this decision taken?
In Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, PNG (Piped Natural Gas) connections are being extended to several neighborhoods, with the process of laying pipelines already underway. Find out which neighborhoods are being covered by this pipeline network.
Tensions in the Middle East have impacted the supply of various fuels—including LPG, petrol, and diesel—in India, leading to multiple price hikes. Consequently, the government has begun promoting PNG as an alternative to LPG. As part of this initiative, significant steps have been taken in the city of Gonda, Uttar Pradesh.
Plans are in place to lay pipelines across the streets and neighborhoods of all wards in Gonda, ensuring that PNG connections reach every household. This expansion is aimed at reducing reliance on LPG cylinders.
Bringing PNG connections to homes
Torrent Gas has prepared to provide PNG connections to 2,500 households across five neighborhoods. PNG offers several distinct advantages; expanding its reach to more homes will help decrease dependency on LPG. Let’s explore which neighborhoods in Gonda are getting these pipelines—but first, what exactly are the benefits of PNG?
What are the benefits of PNG?
The primary advantage is the elimination of the monthly hassle of booking a gas cylinder.
It also spares users from the physical strain of handling heavy LPG cylinders.
Furthermore, with a PNG connection, you only pay for the actual amount of gas consumed.
There is no longer any need to worry about booking, delivery, or the risk of running out of gas unexpectedly.
Pipelines Being Laid in These Neighborhoods
Preparations are underway to lay pipelines in five neighborhoods of Gonda. Notably, the excavation work for this has already begun. These areas include:
Subhashnagar
Noornagar
Yusufnagar
Imilia Gurudayal
Gayatripuram
The plan is to provide gas connections to a total of 2,500 households in these areas. Once the work is completed, residents of these localities will be able to obtain a PNG (Piped Natural Gas) connection.
Will you have to surrender your LPG cylinder?
If a PNG connection becomes available in your area and you choose to activate it, you will be required to surrender your LPG cylinder within a specified timeframe. You may contact your gas agency for further details regarding this process.
