Steps to Link Aadhaar with PAN Online

1. Visit the Income Tax e-Filing Portal

  • Provide your PAN and Aadhaar numbers.

3. Pay the Late Fee

  • Click on ‘Continue to e-Pay Tax’.
  • Enter your PAN and confirm it.
  • Verify using the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.

4. Make Payment

  • On the e-Pay Tax page, select:
    • Assessment Year: Choose the current year.
    • Type of Payment: Select ‘Other Receipts (Code 500)’.
  • Pay the ₹1,000 late fee.

5. Complete the Linking

  • Once payment is successful, go back to the portal and repeat the linking process.

  • On the homepage of the e-filing portal, click on ‘Aadhaar Status’.
