Life Certificate: No need to visit the office for pension, life certificate will be submitted through face authentication..

If you or someone you know receives pension benefits, there's good news. The Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare (DoPPW) is soon launching the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 4.0. This campaign will run from November 1-30, 2025. Camps will be set up in 1,600 districts across the country, and door-to-door access will be provided to elderly and disabled pensioners. Submitting life certificates will become even easier for pensioners. Face authentication technology will be used for this, allowing seniors to submit their life certificates from the comfort of their homes.
What is Face Authentication Technology?
Pensioners are required to submit their life certificates annually, and this process is performed between November 1 and 30. Failure to do so could result in the pensioner's pension being stopped. Previously, this required frequent visits to government offices, but now this can be done from home using face authentication. Face authentication technology uses a live camera scan to compare your face with previously recorded data. This is a fast and secure method of biometric identification. Let's quickly understand the entire process.

Step 1: First, you need to download the Aadhaar Face RD application on your phone. This is an app developed by UIDAI. It should be noted that this app works in the background and is required for the 'Jeevan Pramaan App'.
Step 2: Download the 'Jeevan Pramaan App'
After installing the Aadhaar Face RD app, you must download the 'Jeevan Pramaan App' on your phone. The life certificate is submitted through this app.
