If you have passed the 10th grade and are looking for an earning opportunity that accommodates your domestic and family responsibilities, this LIC scheme could be just what you need. Women who join this scheme are not only provided with work but also receive a monthly stipend for the first three years. A key highlight is that being a graduate or postgraduate is not a prerequisite for applying; women who have passed the 10th grade are also eligible to join. This is precisely why the LIC 'Bima Sakhi' scheme has been generating significant buzz recently.

**Who Can Become a 'Bima Sakhi'?**

Women aged between 18 and 70 are eligible to apply for the LIC Bima Sakhi scheme. A minimum educational qualification of having passed the 10th grade is mandatory. This scheme has been launched specifically for women who wish to work while remaining within their local communities. Women who join this initiative are entrusted with the task of disseminating information about insurance to the public. They can educate people about various insurance plans and assist them in purchasing new policies. To facilitate this, they undergo a training program beforehand.

**Stipend Provided Alongside Training**

Women who become 'Bima Sakhis' receive training directly from LIC. This training covers work methodologies, customer interaction techniques, and essential information related to insurance. This ensures that newcomers can easily grasp the nature of the work. Under this scheme, a stipend is provided for the initial three years. The provisions allow for a monthly stipend of ₹7,000 in the first year, ₹6,000 in the second year, and up to ₹5,000 in the third year. Additionally, participants earn a commission on every policy they sell. Applications for this scheme can be submitted online. At the time of application, applicants may be required to submit proof of age, an identity card, and a certificate verifying that they have passed the 10th grade. Further details regarding the scheme can be found on the official LIC website.
