The Government of India keeps making many efforts to promote women's empowerment in the country. The government runs many types of schemes for this. In which there are schemes to increase the social participation of women and to help them stand on their feet.

Life Insurance Corporation of India i.e. LIC also runs many types of schemes, especially for women. By investing in which women not only make their future secure. But also earn profit.

But do you know that LIC has started a special scheme for women. The name of this scheme is Bima Sakhi Yojana. The Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi launched it in Haryana on 9 December 2024.

Through this scheme, LIC trains women from rural areas to become insurance agents. The aim of the scheme is to make women financially capable and self-reliant.

Let us tell you that through this scheme, women are trained for 3 years. In which, in the first year, they are given Rs 7000 every month. In the second year, they are given Rs 6000 every month. And in the third year, they are given a stipend of Rs 500 every month.

That is, in total, women get financial assistance of more than Rs 2 lakh in 3 years. Apart from this stipend, women can also earn a commission of up to Rs 48000 in the first year by selling policies.

After completing the training, they are also given a Bima Sakhi certificate and LIC agent code. After which she officially starts working as an insurance agent. Women who want to take advantage of this scheme can apply for it online by visiting the LIC website.
