LIC Bima Sakhi Scheme: Women to Earn ₹7,000 Monthly – Know Eligibility, Benefits & How to Apply

The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has launched the Bima Sakhi initiative to empower women by offering them an opportunity to become Women Career Agents (WCA). Under this scheme, selected women will receive professional training and a monthly stipend for up to three years, enabling them to build a career in the insurance sector.

Who Can Apply?

  • Minimum Age: 18 years

  • Maximum Age: 70 years (as of the date of application)

  • Education: At least a 10th-grade pass (matriculation)

  • Gender: Female candidates only

This scheme is not a permanent LIC job, but a stipend-based career opportunity.

💰 Stipend Details

Women selected as LIC Bima Sakhi agents will receive a monthly stipend as follows:

  • 1st Year: ₹7,000/month

  • 2nd Year: ₹6,000/month
    (Only if 65% of 1st-year policies remain active)

  • 3rd Year: ₹5,000/month
    (Only if 65% of 2nd-year policies remain active)

Note:
To qualify for the stipend each year, agents must:

  • Sell at least 24 new policies annually

  • Earn a minimum first-year commission of ₹48,000 (excluding bonus commissions)

Who Cannot Apply?

  • Existing LIC agents

  • LIC employees or their close relatives (spouse, children, parents, siblings, in-laws)

  • Retired LIC staff

  • Former agents seeking reappointment

Interested candidates must submit an application along with the following documents:

  • Passport-size photograph

  • Age proof

  • Address proof

  • Educational qualification proof (self-attested)
