This is how the training journey begins.

First of all, all the trainee officers are trained together, which is called the Foundation Course. Here the trainee officers are trained both physically and mentally. First of all, they are given information about the basics of administration. After three months, IPS officers are sent to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad for further training.

There is a four-month foundation course for all trainee officers in Labasana. During this time, IAS, IPS, IFS, etc. officers train together. Its first phase includes 15 weeks of educational modules and 40-45 days of Bharat Darshan. The second phase includes district training, which is a one-year program. In this, trainee officers are sent to a district. At the same time, the third phase lasts for six weeks or two months. They exchange experiences and lessons gained so far with each other during the entire course. After this, all the IAS officers who receive training in the fourth phase work as Assistant Secretaries in the Central Secretariat during this period.

Every candidate has to pay fees.

Trainee officers have to pay a very small amount to Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration. The trainee has to pay Rs 350 per month for the room, while the rent of a room for two persons is Rs 175 per person. This includes the cost of things like electricity and water. Apart from this, a fee of about Rs 10,000 has to be paid.

Facilities available along with salary

Trainee officers get hostel accommodation, food, sports, cycle track, gym, complex, library, IT service and many other facilities. Horse riding is also taught in the academy. At the same time, a trainee IAS / IPS gets a total salary of Rs 56,000 per month. However, after deducting other expenses like hostel fees and mess, the trainees are left with Rs 40,000.
