In fact, it is essential to verify the records of any land before purchasing it. Sometimes, obtaining details related to land can involve facing numerous difficulties. Furthermore, in the past, one had to make repeated rounds of government offices just to find out whose name a specific plot of land was registered under and the extent of their holding. However, you can now easily access this information from the comfort of your home using your mobile phone. Let's find out how...

The 'Bhulekh' Portal
Most states across the country have made their land-related records available online. With the help of the 'Bhulekh' portal, people can easily view land-related details from their homes using their mobile phones. Moreover, accessing land records online enhances transparency and significantly reduces the chances of fraudulent activities. Land details for various states—including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan—can now be easily accessed online.

How to Obtain Land-Related Information
To access information regarding a specific plot of land, first visit the official 'Bhulekh' website for your respective state.
Next, enter the details corresponding to the District, Tehsil (Sub-district), and Village.
You will then see several options available for searching the land records.
Here, you will need to enter the *Khata* (Account) Number, *Khasra* (Plot) Number, or *Gata* (Survey) Number to easily retrieve the land details.
Additionally, you can also search for information based on the owner's name.
Finally, enter the CAPTCHA code displayed on the website and click 'Search'.
The land records will then appear on your screen.
Print Option Available
You also have the option to print the land-related information you have accessed. However, the facility to print records is currently available only on the websites of select states.
