Haryana’s Lado Laxmi Yojana Launch on September 25: Who Will Get ₹2,100, When, and How to Apply

Haryana is set to roll out a much-awaited welfare initiative for women – the Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana. The scheme, which will officially launch on September 25, 2025, promises monthly financial assistance of ₹2,100 to eligible women across the state. However, beneficiaries will have to wait a little longer before the first installment reaches their bank accounts.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will inaugurate the scheme on the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. With this, a long-standing demand of women in the state is finally being addressed. But while the scheme begins this month, the financial transfers are expected to start after Diwali, with the first credit anticipated around Haryana Day on November 1.

Launch Date vs. Payment Date

Contrary to expectations, women will not receive money in their accounts on the day of the launch. The September 25 event will mark the formal rollout and the opening of the online application process. The government has clarified that the first installment of ₹2,100 will be credited in November, meaning beneficiaries will see the money in their accounts only after the festive season.

This slight delay, officials say, is necessary to ensure smooth implementation, thorough verification of applications, and correct targeting of beneficiaries.

Registration Process to Begin September 25

Alongside the launch ceremony, the government will also unveil the official online portal where women can submit applications. Trial runs for the registration process have already been conducted, with about 1,200 women enrolled on a pilot basis across different districts.

From September 25 onward, women will be able to apply through the dedicated portal. In the first phase, priority will be given to families with an annual income of ₹1 lakh or less, as recorded in the Family ID (Parivar Pehchan Patra).

Required Documents for Application

To ensure transparency and prevent misuse, applicants must provide:

  • Aadhaar Card

  • Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP)

  • Haryana domicile certificate

  • Income certificate

  • Recent passport-size photo

  • Bank passbook with IFSC code

Additionally, biometric verification will be conducted to authenticate applicants. The linked bank account must be Aadhaar-seeded and eKYC verified to receive funds without delays.

Eligibility Criteria

The Lado Laxmi Yojana has been designed to benefit women across various categories while maintaining strict eligibility checks.

  • Age group: Women between 23 to 60 years are eligible.

  • Marital status: Both married and unmarried women can apply.

  • Family limit: A maximum of three women per household (for instance, a mother-in-law, daughter-in-law, and daughter) can avail benefits.

  • Residency rules:

    • For unmarried women, proof of at least 15 years of residency in Haryana is mandatory.

    • For married women, the husband must have been a resident of Haryana for at least 15 years.

Why the Scheme Matters

With the launch of this scheme, Haryana aims to provide direct financial support to women, encouraging economic independence and reducing financial vulnerability within households. The monthly assistance of ₹2,100, though modest, could play a significant role in meeting basic needs, supporting household budgets, and empowering women from low-income families.

The scheme also reflects the government’s focus on inclusive welfare, particularly for women who often shoulder both family and financial responsibilities.

Key Takeaways

  • Launch date: September 25, 2025

  • First payment: Likely by November 1, 2025 (after Diwali)

  • Monthly benefit: ₹2,100 per eligible woman

  • Max beneficiaries per family: 3 women

  • Application start: September 25 via official portal

  • Eligibility: Age 23–60, income below ₹1 lakh (Phase 1), domicile/residency proof required

With the Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana, the Haryana government is signaling a stronger push for women-centric policies. Though the wait for the first installment will extend beyond the launch date, the initiative is expected to provide lasting support and financial stability to thousands of women across the state.
