Haryana Govt to Launch ‘Lado Lakshmi Yojana’ on Sept 25: Women to Get ₹2,100 Monthly, Check Required Documents
In a much-awaited announcement, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has confirmed that the Deendayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana will officially launch on September 25, 2025. Under this welfare scheme, eligible women across the state will receive ₹2,100 every month directly into their bank accounts.
The initiative, which was earlier promised in the BJP’s election manifesto, aims to provide financial assistance to women from economically weaker households. To ensure smooth implementation, the government has outlined certain eligibility conditions and mandatory documents that applicants must prepare before applying.
Key Highlights of the Lado Lakshmi Yojana
-
Monthly Assistance: ₹2,100 transferred via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
-
Launch Date: September 25, 2025.
-
Beneficiaries: Women from families with annual income of ₹1 lakh or less (for the first phase).
-
Application Mode: Online forms will be available soon through a dedicated mobile app and website.
-
Eligibility Check: Linked with Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP).
Six Essential Documents Required
Before applying for the scheme, women must prepare the following documents:
1. Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP)
This is the most critical document to access government welfare benefits in Haryana. The PPP contains complete family details including income records. Only women with annual family income of ₹1 lakh or less (as recorded in PPP) will be eligible under the first phase. Those without a PPP should immediately apply online via CSC centers, PPP operators, or Saral Kendras.
2. Income Certificate
Applicants must provide a valid income certificate of the current financial year to confirm eligibility. This can be generated via the Saral portal using the Parivar Pehchan Number (PPN).
3. Aadhaar Card
Since financial assistance will be transferred through DBT, Aadhaar is mandatory for e-KYC verification. The Aadhaar card must carry a Haryana address.
4. Residence Proof
Applicants (or their husbands) must be permanent residents of Haryana for at least 15 years. Documents such as voter ID, Aadhaar, marriage certificate, or a Haryana-issued 10th pass certificate will be accepted as proof.
5. Bank Passbook
The scheme requires an active bank account in the applicant’s name. A copy of the bank passbook page showing account number, IFSC code, and branch details must be submitted.
6. Passport-Size Photograph
A recent passport-size photograph will be required along with the application form. Applicants must also provide the mobile number linked to their Aadhaar card.
How the Scheme Will Be Rolled Out
The government has announced that online applications will begin shortly. Women can apply once the official app and portal are launched. The first installment of ₹2,100 will be credited directly into eligible women’s accounts by the end of September.
According to Chief Minister Saini, the scheme will be implemented in phases, starting with women from low-income families. Over time, the coverage may expand to include more beneficiaries, depending on state finances and demand.
Why the Scheme Matters
The Deendayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana is expected to provide economic stability and empowerment to women, especially in rural households where income opportunities are limited. By offering monthly financial support, the scheme seeks to help women contribute towards household expenses, savings, or even small entrepreneurial activities.
Political analysts also note that the scheme could play a significant role in women’s welfare and financial independence, especially as Haryana prepares for future assembly elections.
Final Reminder for Applicants
Those planning to apply should ensure that all six documents are prepared well before September 25, 2025. Missing even one of these may result in application rejection or delayed benefits.
