Ladli Behna Yojana: Women to Receive ₹1,500 as Raksha Bandhan Gift Before August 7

In a special Raksha Bandhan gesture, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that 1.27 crore women beneficiaries of the Ladli Behna Yojana will receive ₹1,500 in their bank accounts on August 7, 2025. Out of this amount, ₹250 is an additional gift from the government, which the CM described as “a brother's token of love for his sisters.”
Extra ₹250 as Raksha Bandhan Bonus
Addressing a Raksha Bandhan celebration organized by women working at Best Lifestyle Company in Ujjain, CM Yadav said that the ₹250 amount will be over and above the monthly ₹1,250 installment already being provided under the Ladli Behna Scheme. He emphasized that every woman in the state is like a sister to him, and the government is committed to ensuring no sister faces hardship.
Massive Employment Boost for Women
During the event, CM Yadav highlighted employment figures, stating that 1,500 women are currently employed at Best Lifestyle Company, with plans to increase this number to 4,000 soon. He also mentioned that a new facility with residential accommodations has been allocated for the company’s expansion.
In addition, another leading textile company, Pratibha Syntex, employs 7,000 skilled women workers, producing high-quality garments primarily exported to the United States. The company has already exported 1.1 million units and is aiming to scale this to 2 million units shortly. CM Yadav praised these hardworking women, calling them the backbone of Madhya Pradesh’s progress.
Industrial Growth in Ujjain Fuelling Employment
CM Yadav shared that employment in Ujjain’s textile sector has grown from 5,000 to 20,000 workers. He assured that as more industries set up in the region, job opportunities will continue to rise, which is a matter of pride for Madhya Pradesh at both national and international levels.
Financial Assistance & Future Plans
The state government is also providing ₹5,000 under various welfare schemes to women employed in these industries. The CM confirmed that several new welfare initiatives are in the pipeline to empower women further.
Launched on 10th June 2023 from Jabalpur, the Ladli Behna Yojana was a flagship initiative under former CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s leadership and is credited for the BJP’s resounding victory in the 2023 state assembly elections.
Officials revealed that out of the ₹27,147 crore budget earmarked for women-centric schemes, ₹18,699 crore has been allocated specifically for the Ladli Behna Yojana. Furthermore, the government is considering doubling the monthly assistance to ₹3,000 in the near future.
Conclusion:
The Ladli Behna Yojana continues to be a pivotal welfare scheme, enhancing the financial independence of women in Madhya Pradesh. With special gestures like the Raksha Bandhan bonus and continuous policy support, the state government aims to uplift the socio-economic status of its female population.
