Ladli Behna Yojana (40th Installment): The 39th installment of the Ladli Behna Yojana was credited to the accounts of women in Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2024. Ladli Behna Yojana (40th Installment): Good news arrived for over 1.25 crore women in Madhya Pradesh just before Raksha Bandhan. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav released the 39th installment of the 'Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana' during an event held in Maihar on August 19. A total amount exceeding ₹2,148 crore was transferred to the bank accounts of eligible women during this event.

For the 39th installment of the Ladli Behna Yojana, the standard monthly amount of ₹1,500 was sent to the accounts of eligible women; the government spent over ₹1,835.46 crore for this. Additionally, an extra ₹250 was given to the women on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, costing the government more than ₹312.83 crore. Consequently, combining the regular installment and the special Raksha Bandhan amount, a total of ₹1,750 was credited to each eligible woman's bank account.

What amount will be credited as the 40th installment?

The government transferred ₹1,750 directly to the women's bank accounts via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). As noted earlier, the additional ₹250 was a gift from the state government for the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. Such gifts will not be provided by the government every month. This means that the standard monthly amount of ₹1,500 will be credited to your account.

Ladli Behna Yojana to Continue for the Next 5 Years

The Madhya Pradesh government has decided to continue the Ladli Behna Yojana for the next five years. The Cabinet has approved ₹1,14,365 crore for the scheme for the financial years 2026-27 to 2030-31. Under the scheme, eligible women receive financial assistance of ₹1,500 per month. This amount is transferred directly to their bank accounts.
