Launched on March 5, 2023, the Ladli Brahmin scheme focuses on empowering young women, providing them with a strong support system for their overall development.

This scheme assists women in various aspects including covering the expenses of higher education or marriage.

Recent developments:

The Madhya Pradesh government increased the monthly allowance for beneficiaries from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,250. The announcement was made by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on August 27.

Eligibility criteria:

The scheme targets girls from economically weaker sections of society.

Eligibility includes:

Women born in Madhya Pradesh.

Family income below the prescribed limit of Rs 2.5 lakh.

Women aged between 21 and 60 years.
The scheme covers married, widowed, and divorced women.
Beneficiaries should not be income taxpayers.
