Description of the scheme:
Through the Chief Minister Ladli Behna Yojana, monthly financial assistance is deposited directly into the accounts of eligible women. Originally launched under Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the scheme aims to provide Rs 1250 per month to the beneficiaries.
Current update:
The scheme has distributed 13 installments, benefiting about 4.77 lakh women. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced the release of the 14th installment on July 5, thereby extending the date of transfer from the 10th to the 5th of every month.
Eligibility Criteria:
The Ladli Behna Yojana targets women in Madhya Pradesh whose annual family income is less than Rs 2.50 lakh. Also, eligible women must own less than 5 acres of agricultural land.
