Ladli Behna Yojana: 39th Installment to be Released Today; ₹1,750 to be Credited to Accounts

There is good news for over 1.25 crore women in Madhya Pradesh. The 39th installment of the Chief Minister Ladli Behna Yojana will be released today, August 19. This time, every eligible woman will receive ₹1,750, which includes special assistance for Raksha Bandhan.

Ladli Behna Yojana: There is happy news for more than 1.25 crore women in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will release the 39th installment of the Chief Minister Ladli Behna Yojana during an event held in Maihar on Wednesday (August 19). A total amount exceeding ₹2,148 crore will be transferred to the bank accounts of eligible women.

Each ‘Ladli Behna’ to Receive ₹1,750

Under the scheme’s 39th installment, each eligible woman will receive ₹1,500 as monthly assistance. The government will transfer over ₹1,835.46 crore for this purpose. Additionally, special assistance of ₹250 will be provided to women on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. The government will spend more than ₹312.83 crore on this additional amount. Thus, combining the regular installment and the special Raksha Bandhan assistance, a total of ₹1,750 will be sent to each eligible ‘Ladli Behna’s’ bank account via DBT.

Over 1.25 Crore Women to Benefit

According to the state government, more than 1.25 crore eligible women across the state will benefit from the 39th installment of the Chief Minister Ladli Behna Yojana. This time, the government will transfer a total amount exceeding ₹2,148 crore—comprising both regular and special assistance—into the women’s accounts.

₹63,248 Crore Transferred So Far

According to official information, a total of ₹63,248 crore has been transferred to the accounts of beneficiary women through 39 installments since the launch of the Ladli Behna Yojana in June 2023. Under the scheme, financial assistance is provided monthly with the aim of making women financially independent and strengthening their role within the family.

Budget provision of ₹23,882.81 crore for 2026-27

The Madhya Pradesh government has made a budget provision of ₹23,882.81 crore for the ‘Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana’ for the 2026-27 financial year. The scheme aims to provide financial support to women, improve their health and nutritional status, and help meet household needs.

Approval of ₹1,14,365 crore to continue the scheme until 2030-31

On Tuesday, the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet also approved ₹1,14,365 crore to continue the ‘Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana’ from the 2026-27 financial year through 2030-31. Under the scheme, a monthly amount of ₹1,500 is transferred directly to the bank accounts of eligible women via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Development projects worth ₹256 crore for Maihar

Along with releasing the funds for the ‘Ladli Behna Yojana’, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will also unveil development projects for Maihar district. During the event, the Chief Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for various development works worth approximately ₹256 crore. A state-level event will be held in Maihar, from where the Chief Minister will simultaneously transfer funds to the bank accounts of eligible ‘Ladli Behnas’ across the state.
