Under Chief Minister Ladli Bahana Yojana, the Madhya Pradesh government is going to provide gas cylinders at a highly subsidized rate of ₹450. This decision was finalized in a recent cabinet meeting. Additionally, Anganwadi workers will get the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, in which assistance of up to ₹2 lakh will be given in case of death.

The previous announcement made by former CM

The Madhya Pradesh government launched the CM Ladli Bahana Yojana to promote the overall development of women. The scheme provides ₹1,250 per month to women, which aims to make them financially self-reliant, improve their health and nutrition, and encourage their active role in family decisions. Currently, the scheme offers the cheapest gas cylinder in the country at ₹450, surpassing Rajasthan's previous offer of ₹500 per cylinder.

Increasing assistance amount

The assistance under the Ladli Bahana Yojana is not limited to ₹1,250; it will gradually increase to ₹3,000 per month. Former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced the plan to increase this monthly amount to ₹3,000 while addressing an election rally in Medinipur, West Bengal. However, Shivraj Singh Chouhan is no longer the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.
