If you don't complete the necessary tasks by December 31, 2025, the change of year on the calendar could bring significant changes to your life as well. You could lose the Rs. 1500 monthly allowance under the Ladki Bahin Yojana. The next few days will determine whether you receive Rs. 4500 in your account at once in the new year, or if you face a shock as 2026 begins. The last date to complete the eKYC for the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana is December 31. Maharashtra's Women and Child Development Minister, Aditi Tatkare, has indicated that the eKYC deadline is unlikely to be extended beyond December 31.

For the verification of beneficiaries under the Chief Minister's Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, 2.47 crore women were instructed to complete the eKYC process. However, even as the deadline approaches, millions of women have not yet completed this task. The Maharashtra government has already extended the deadline once, but it now seems unwilling to give another extension. The eKYC deadline was initially November 18, which was extended to December 31.

Maharashtra's Women and Child Development Minister, Aditi Tatkare, has posted on social media appealing to eligible women to complete the eKYC as soon as possible. She wrote that completing the e-KYC process is crucial to continue receiving benefits under the Chief Minister's Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. The final deadline is December 31, and only a few days remain. She said, "I humbly request all my dear sisters to complete the eKYC process today."

Money has been Stuck Since November
When will the November-December payment for the Ladki Bahin Yojana be released? Eligible beneficiaries are constantly searching for the answer to this question. However, the money has been stuck since November due to the incomplete eKYC process. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had said that the two months' payment would be credited to the accounts together by the end of December, but this now seems unlikely. It is estimated that after the e-KYC process is completed by January 2026, Rs. 4500 may be credited to the account in a single installment.

Possibility of extension of the deadline
Due to the upcoming local body elections in Maharashtra and the fact that a large number of beneficiary women have not yet completed the e-KYC process, it is being speculated that the deadline for Ladki Bahin Yojana eKYC may be extended. Department sources have also indicated that an extension of the date is almost certain. However, Aditi Tatkare's tweet has presented a different picture. Therefore, we advise you not to wait for the date to be extended and complete this process immediately.
