Lack of money will not become a hindrance to studies. CBSE started the application process for the Central Sector Scholarship 2025-26

In today's era, the cost of education has increased so much that many times, talented children are not able to complete their studies only due to money. CBSE has launched a special scheme for the students.

CBSE has started the application process for this scholarship for the academic year 2025-26. Interested students can apply online by visiting the National Scholarship Portal scholarships.gov.in.

The application is for both new scholarships and the renewal of existing scholarships. The last date for application has been fixed as 31 October 2025.

Under this scheme, scholarships are given to 82,000 new students every year. This includes courses like medical, engineering, graduation, and post-graduation. Students already availing the benefits can also get a renewal done on time.

Talking about financial help, students doing their graduation are given Rs 12,000 every year for the first three years. On the other hand, students doing post-graduation are given an amount of Rs 20,000 per year. This amount gives great relief to the students not only in studies but also in everyday expenses.

However, not everyone gets the benefit of this scholarship. Some conditions have been fixed for this. The student should be studying in a recognized college or university, and the institute should be affiliated with AICTE or any recognized regulatory body.

Also, the student should not get the benefit of any other government scholarship or fee waiver. The annual income of the family should not exceed Rs 4.5 lakh.

Along with applying, timely verification of documents is also necessary. CBSE has instructed the nodal officers of the institutions to check all the applications on time and mark any mistake or deficiencies, if there is any. If the verification is not done on time, the application will not be considered valid.
