The PM Kisan Yojana is a scheme of the Government of India that provides financial assistance to farmers every year. Under this scheme, farmers receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 per year. This amount is disbursed in three installments, each of ₹2,000 directly into the farmers' accounts. Currently, 21 installments have been released under this scheme. Any farmer who owns land can apply.

This scheme is also run by the central government. Under this scheme, small and marginal farmers (SMFs), under certain conditions, can become members by depositing money into a pension fund every month. The central government will also contribute an equal amount. Farmers aged 18 to 40 will be required to contribute between ₹55 and ₹200 per month until they reach the age of 60. After 60, farmers receive a monthly pension of ₹3,000 under this scheme.

This scheme (PM Fasal Bima Yojana) was launched to protect farmers from crop losses. Its purpose was to fully protect farmers from all natural hazards, from pre-sowing to post-harvest, and to provide a fair claim amount for unavoidable natural hazards. This scheme is demand-driven and available to all farmers. If you insure your crop before sowing and it is damaged by a natural disaster, you will receive a claim.
What is the Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana?
Over the past 10 years, the Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY) has become a mainstay of India's sustainable agriculture initiatives. It promotes organic farming. PKVY is part of the Soil Health Management (SHM) component under the National Mission on Sustainable Agriculture (NMSA). All farmers and institutions are eligible to apply. However, the maximum land requirement for eligibility is 2 hectares.
Under the PKVY, farmers adopting organic farming receive ₹31,500 per hectare over a three-year period. The largest portion of this assistance is provided for on-farm and off-farm organic inputs.
