KCC limit increased to Rs 5 lakh
Nirmala Sitharaman has announced to increase the loan limit under Kisan Credit Card to Rs 5 lakh, which is currently Rs 3 lakh. In the budget, there were already speculations about increasing the credit limit for farmers under KCC from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. There has been a demand to increase the limit of Kisan Credit Cards for a long time. This announcement will greatly benefit farmers, especially small and medium farmers, and due to this, an increase in rural demand can also be seen, through which the economy of villages will also improve.
What is the Kisan Credit Card
Under the Kisan Credit Card (KCC), farmers are given timely and adequate loans for farming work. Under this scheme, farmers get many benefits. Farmers can take loans for many types of agricultural needs from one place and its application process is also very simple. On taking a loan from Kisan Credit Card, along with a 2 percent discount in interest rates, a 3 percent quick repayment incentive is also given on repaying the loan before time or on time. The government gives 2 percent discount on interest to farmers. In this way, farmers are given loans at an annual rate of 4 percent. Farmers also get the cover of crop insurance, accident insurance, health insurance, and asset insurance.
Formation of Makhana Board
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has also given a gift to Bihar. The Finance Minister has announced the formation of Makhana Board. It will be kept under FPO. This will benefit the people engaged in Makhana cultivation and people will also be given training for it. This will directly benefit the farmers of Bihar who cultivate Makhana.
