MukhyaMantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana: The government of UP runs a scheme for daughters, in which financial assistance is given for the education of daughters till the 12th. The name of the scheme is MukhyaMantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana. In this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 25 thousand is given to the daughter's family in 6 installments. Earlier this assistance amount was Rs 15 thousand which was increased to Rs 25,000 from the financial year 2024-25. This scheme can be very helpful for those who are financially weak. This is how you get Rs 25,000

Under this scheme, the first installment is given at the time of birth of the daughter. Earlier Rs 2,000 was given for this, but now Rs 5,000 will be given. After this, after completing one year of vaccination, you will get Rs 2,000. Rs 3,000 will be given at the time of admission to the first class. Rs 3,000 will be given at the time of admission in the sixth class and Rs 5,000 will be given at the time of admission in class. Now financial assistance of Rs 7,000 will be given on passing the 10th and 12th class exams or taking admission in any two-year diploma course. In this way, a total of Rs 25 thousand will be given. Under the scheme, money is deposited in the accounts of the beneficiaries through Direct Bank Transfer (DBT).

Eligibility for the scheme

     The annual income of the beneficiary family should be a maximum of up to Rs 3 lakh.

     The beneficiary's family should be residents of Uttar Pradesh and have a permanent residence card.

     A ration card, Aadhar card, Voter ID card, electricity or telephone bill will be valid as a residence certificate.

     A maximum of two girls from a family will get the benefit of the scheme. If a woman has twin girls and after this, the third child is also a daughter, then the third daughter will also be considered eligible for this scheme.

     If an orphan girl child is adopted, then a maximum of two girls, including biological children and legally adopted children, will be the beneficiaries of this scheme.

To apply online for the scheme, you will have to go to https://mksy.up.gov.in website. Here you can apply online by clicking on the option of Citizen Service Portal. Apart from this, those applicants who are not able to apply through online mode can submit their application offline in the office of the BDO/SDM/Probationary Officer.
