Many financial rules change every new month. There may be a change in the rules from June 1, 2024 as well. Amid scorching heat, there are going to be changes in the rules related to LPG cylinders, bank holidays, and updates in Aadhaar cards and driving licenses in June. There may be a change in the prices of other petroleum products including LPG cylinders

On the first of every month, the prices of other petroleum products including LPG cylinders are fixed afresh. Petroleum companies announce it at midnight on the last day of the month. In such a situation, it is expected that on June 1, 2024, petroleum companies may change the prices of petrol and diesel including LPG. Earlier in May, petroleum companies had cut the prices of commercial cylinders. It will not be a surprise if the cylinder prices change in June as well. From June 1, there may be a change in the prices of petrol and diesel which have been stable for a long time. However, whether the prices will change or not, the situation will be clear only by midnight of 31 May 2024.

You will get relief from visiting RTO for a driving license
New transport rules are coming into force from June 1. From the new month, it will not be mandatory to take the test in RTO to get a driving license. In such a situation, the process of passing the driving license test is now expected to be easier. From June 1, you can also take a driving test in private institutions recognized by the government. This will relieve people from visiting RTO to give driving license tests.

Traffic rules will be strict
Under the new traffic rules, traffic rules are being made more strict. People below the age of 18 years can be fined up to Rs 25,000 for violating traffic rules or driving their vehicle. Not only will the license be canceled for violating traffic rules, but a new license will also not be issued for 25 years. Provision of penalty has also been made for violation of other traffic rules. A fine of Rs 1000 to Rs 2000 will be imposed for speeding, Rs 500 for driving without a license, Rs 100 for not wearing a helmet, and Rs 100 for not wearing a seat belt.

Aadhaar can be updated for free till June 14
According to the Unique Identification Authority of India i.e. UIDAI, if you have not updated your Aadhaar card for 10 years, then you can do so for free till June 14. The process of updating the Aadhaar card on the UIDAI portal is free till June 14, 2024. If you get your Aadhaar card updated after June 14, then you may have to pay some fee for it. You can also get your Aadhaar card updated at home or by visiting the Aadhaar card center. If you get your Aadhaar card updated by visiting the Aadhaar card center, then you will have to pay a fee of Rs 50. At the same time, there is no charge for updating the Aadhaar card by going to the UIDAI portal.

Banks will remain closed for 14 days in June
In June, banks are going to remain closed for many days due to public and weekly holidays on the occasion of different festivals including Bakrid, and Vat Savitri Vrat. According to the information given on the official website of the Reserve Bank of India, bank branches will remain closed for a total of 12 days in June. Due to the voting in the seventh phase of the Lok Sabha elections, bank branches will remain closed in some areas of many states on the first date of June. While the bank branches are closed, you will not be able to go to the bank and get any service. In such a situation, it will be better if you plan your banking-related work given the bank holidays. However, it is worth noting here that on the days when the bank branches will remain closed, the online services of the banks will continue as usual.

If PAN-Aadhaar is not linked then this problem will arise
The Income Tax Department in a recent notification has asked taxpayers to link their Permanent Account Number (PAN) with Aadhaar by May 31 to avoid tax deduction at a higher rate. According to the current rules, if the taxpayer's PAN is not linked to his Aadhaar, then it has been made mandatory to deduct Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) at double the normal rate from June 1.
