JoSAA 2025 Round-1 Seat Allotment Released, Admission Will Now Be Done On More Than 62,000 Seats Including IITs

A great news has come for the students dreaming of admission in top engineering colleges. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has officially released the seat allotment list for the first round of counseling 2025 today, June 14.

Students who have qualified JEE Advanced and JEE Main 2025 can now check their seat allotment status by visiting the JoSAA website josaa.nic.in. A total of 62,853 seats will be admitted through JoSAA Counseling 2025. Of these, 18,160 seats are in IITs only, while the rest will be filled in institutes like NITs, IIITs and GFTIs.

Counseling Schedule

Seat Allotment (Round 1): 14 June, 10 am

Online Reporting (Fees and Documents): 14 to 18 June, 5 pm

Fee payment-related problem resolution: 19 June, 5 pm

Last date to answer students' questions: 20 June, 5 pm

List of required documents

Class 10th mark sheet (for date of birth proof)

12th mark sheet

Certificate for reserved category (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS)

PwD certificate (if applicable)

Medical Certificate (in Annexure 7 format)

Photo of bank passbook or cancelled cheque

OCI/PIO card or passport (if applicable)

New in admission process Rules

JoSAA has made a big change this year. Students will be required to confirm or leave their seat between Rounds 2 to 5. If a student does not take any decision during this time, he will be debarred from JEE Advanced. The purpose of this rule is that no other eligible student is deprived of the seat.

Click on the link “View Round-1 Seat Allocation”

Enter JEE Main 2025 application number, password and captcha

Login and see your seat allotment result on the screen

Download the result and save it for further process.
