Jharkhand PCS Exam Date Released: Examination to be Held on This Day in April

JPSC Pre Exam Date 2026 Announced: The wait is finally over for candidates who have applied for the Jharkhand PCS examination. The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has officially announced the date for the State PCS Preliminary Examination. The JPSC Prelims exam is scheduled to take place in the month of April.

JPSC Pre Exam Date 2026: The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has declared the new date for the State PCS Preliminary Examination 2026. Thousands of candidates who applied for this examination had been eagerly awaiting the exam date (JPSC Pre Exam Date) for quite some time. Their wait has now come to an end.

According to the notice issued by the Commission, the JPSC Preliminary Examination will now be conducted on April 19, 2026. Previously, the exam date had been scheduled for April 12; however, it was subsequently revised, and a new date was announced.

Recruitment for 103 Posts Through JPSC Pre Exam

Through this recruitment drive, a total of 103 posts across various departments of the Jharkhand Government will be filled. These include several key administrative positions. Specifically, the recruitment covers 28 posts for Deputy Collector, 42 posts for Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), and 2 posts for District Coordinator.

Additionally, the recruitment drive includes 2 posts for Assistant Registrar, 10 posts for Assistant Municipal Commissioner or Executive Officer, and 2 posts for Jail Superintendent. Furthermore, 10 posts for Assistant Director-cum-District Public Relations Officer, 4 posts for Probation Officer, and 3 posts for Assistant Director will also be filled.

Selection Process

The JPSC PCS recruitment process is completed in three distinct stages. First, candidates are required to appear for the Preliminary Examination. Candidates who successfully clear this stage are then called to appear for the Main Examination. Subsequently, candidates who qualify in the Mains examination are invited for an Interview.

Candidates who demonstrate strong performance across all three of these stages are selected for the final appointment. Subsequently, they are appointed to various administrative services of the state of Jharkhand.
