What facilities are provided with an RAC ticket?
RAC stands for 'Reservation Against Cancellation.' With this ticket, the passenger's journey is guaranteed, but a full berth is not immediately allocated; instead, two RAC passengers share a single berth. If a passenger with a confirmed ticket cancels their booking before the journey begins, the RAC passenger may be allotted the full berth.
However, even while sharing a berth, the passenger completes the entire journey. In such situations, amenities like sheets and blankets are essential for a comfortable night's travel. Keeping this in mind, the Ministry of Railways has clarified that a full bedroll kit will be made available to RAC passengers as well.

This decision brings significant relief to those traveling on RAC tickets.
