Bank Complaint Portal: If you have been struggling with a bank-related problem for months and are only receiving assurances, this situation is indeed frustrating. Problems such as incorrect charges, money not being dispensed from ATMs but being debited from the account, and issues related to loans or credit cards are very common. In such cases, the customer first goes to the branch.
Then they meet with various officials. The matter even reaches the branch manager. But no solution is found. Many people feel that there is no other option left. But let us tell you that the bank is not the last resort. If the bank is not listening to you, you can directly file a complaint on an official platform where your problem is taken seriously, and action is taken.
RBI's CMS portal will come to your rescue
The Reserve Bank of India has created the Complaint Management System (CMS) for the convenience of customers. This is an online portal where complaints related to banking and digital payments can be registered. The special thing about it is that complaints can be filed against both government and private banks. Complaints registered on the CMS go directly under the supervision of the RBI.
Therefore, the bank cannot take it lightly. This platform is quite effective for problems such as incorrect charges, money getting stuck due to failed transactions, complaints related to loans or cards, and negligence in service. If the bank does not respond within the stipulated time or does not provide a satisfactory solution, the RBI itself takes the matter forward. This is why the CMS has become a powerful tool for ordinary customers.
How to file a complaint?
The process of filing a complaint on the RBI's CMS is very easy. For this, you have to visit the website cms.rbi.org.in. After logging in there, click on the "File a Complaint" option. Then fill in the captcha code and enter your name and mobile number. After verifying the OTP received on your mobile, the next step will open. Here, you need to select the name of the relevant bank and clearly describe your complaint in detail.
You can also include a request for compensation if desired. After filling in all the details, click on Review and Submit. Once submitted, you will receive a complaint number, which you can use to track the status of your complaint. This way, you can resolve your problem without having to visit the bank.
