In today's time, the use of phones has increased. All the work in the office has become online, due to which people use laptops more. Apart from this, people watch reels on smartphones at home. Also, from watching movies to every other work is being done on smartphones. This puts more stress on the eyes. Some people have a habit of looking at their phones closely, which can prove to be very dangerous. To avoid this, the iPhone introduces a feature.

How does the feature work
This feature of the iPhone is known as Screen Distance. As the name suggests, this feature maintains the distance between the screen and the eye. Meaning if you look at the phone from close, your screen will lock. When you move the phone away, the phone display will turn on again.

How far should you look at the screen?
The problem of increasing myopia i.e. nearsightedness is increasing in children. In such a situation, Apple recommends users to keep the phone screen 12 inches i.e. 30 cm away from the eye. This puts less stress on your eyes.

How to turn on the Screen Distance feature
First of all, you have to go to the Settings option on the iPhone.
Here you will see many options.
Out of these options, you have to tap on the Screen Time option.
After this, a new page will open, where you have to tap on the Screen Distance option.
After this, the Screen Distance option has to be enabled.
This way your Screen Distance feature will be turned on.

Note - If you want to turn off this feature, then you have to follow the same steps. However, it is often seen that many times people turn off this feature because when you scroll a movie or social media closely, the screen gets locked. However, experts believe that this should not be done, because it is necessary for the safety of your eyes. Let us tell you that the youth are facing the problem of eye irritation and headaches after watching the screen for a long time.
