This much interest will be available on 2-year and 3-year TD-

A TD account can be opened in the post office for 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, and 5 years (5-year TD tenure). The post office has reduced the interest rates on 2-year and 3-year TD. The post office has reduced the interest rate of the 2-year TD from 7.0 percent to 6.9 percent (TD interest rate)

And the interest rates of 3-year TD have been reduced from 7.1 percent to 6.9 percent. Apart from this, the interest rate of the 5-year TD has been increased from 7.5 to 7.7 percent. 6.9 percent interest is given on 1-year TD (1 Year TD Scheme) as before.

If you deposit 1 lakh rupees in a 2-year TD scheme in the post office, then on maturity, you will be given a total of 1,14,663 rupees. In this, apart from the 1,00,000 rupees invested (Investment in TD Scheme), a fixed interest of 14,663 rupees will also be given.
