Selected students will get the chance to intern for six months and will receive a stipend. To apply, students must complete the prescribed procedure through their respective institutions. There are a total of 9 internship positions available. The deadline for applications is September 28.
Which disciplines are eligible to apply?
The disciplines for which DMSRDE is offering internships include Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science and Technology, Materials Science Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, students specializing in Textile Engineering, Chemistry, and Materials Science are also eligible to apply.
What are the academic and eligibility requirements?
Only students currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering or a postgraduate degree in engineering science from a recognized university or institution are eligible to apply. Candidates must be in the final year of a full-time course. Academic performance will be a key factor in the selection process; applicants must have secured a minimum of 65% marks. Furthermore, candidates must be under 28 years of age as of the application deadline.
College approval is mandatory
For the DRDO internship, candidates must obtain a request letter from their college Dean, Head of Department (HOD), Director, or Principal. The application form must be submitted in the format prescribed in the official notification. Candidates must fill in personal and academic details in the form, such as name, date of birth, Aadhaar number, college, mobile number, email, degree, CGPA, and branch. Subsequently, the form must be signed by the concerned official on the institute's letterhead.
What documents must be submitted with the application?
Certain mandatory documents must accompany the form. These include a request letter from the college, high school mark sheet, mark sheets from previous semesters, a photo ID, and a resume. Once the application is complete, a hard copy must be sent to DMSRDE, Kanpur, either via Speed Post or by hand.

What is the basis of selection?
Candidates will be selected based on their CGPA, an online interview, and document verification.
