Insurance Claim: To get an insurance claim of Rs 50 lakh in Bikaner, Rajasthan, a young man declared himself dead, and to prove it, he also got a receipt for the funeral from the crematorium.

The person who committed the fraud is nursing worker Mangilal Jyani. After preparing the papers in a fake manner, Mangilal submitted them to the insurance company for the claim. When the insurance company investigated, Mangilal was found alive. In this regard, Saurabh, legal officer of the insurance company, lodged a report at Jayanarayan Vyas police station in Bikaner.

Police arrested

After the report was registered, the police arrested the accused Mangilal. According to the information, Mangilal had gotten the insurance done on August 9, 2023. For this, he had told the rented house in which he lived as his own.

Had taken a plan of Rs 50 lakh
Police station officer Devendra said that it was said in the registered report that Mangilal had taken a term life plan of Rs 50 lakh. After depositing two installments, Mangilal's relatives presented fake documents stating that he had died of cardiac arrest in October 2024.

Applied for the claim amount

Mangilal had applied for the claim amount in December 2024 by claiming his friend Pawan to be his relative. Before getting the insurance, Mangilal had opened an account in the Bank of Baroda. Fake documents were prepared in the name of Pawan.

Death certificate made through receipt.

A receipt for Mangilal's last rites was made from the city's Muktidham. On the basis of the same receipt, a fake death certificate was prepared from the corporation. On applying for the claim, the insurance company and bank officials found out about the fraud during investigation.
