Changes in profile photo grid: Now the images in the profile photo grid on Instagram will appear as rectangles instead of squares. This change is similar to TikTok's profile page.

Reel video length increased: Instagram has increased the maximum length of reel videos from 90 seconds to 3 minutes. Moseri said that this change has been made after user feedback because many users felt the need to share long videos. With this change, Instagram will now provide content options similar to TikTok, where uploading long videos has become common.

Edits App: Instagram has launched a new video editing app 'Edits', which will work like TikTok's CapCut for creating and editing videos. This app will be launched in February. It is specially designed for social media creators.

Will Instagram benefit from TikTok's closure?
