Instagram Update: Meta released a new update for Instagram, you will be able to reset your feed..
Meta-owned social media platform Instagram has released a new feature that will allow users to reset their feed or in other words, content recommendations. This will reset Instagram's algorithm and users will see new content.
This change is currently in testing and will soon be released for everyone. This will give people control over their feed and it will benefit those whose content does not match their interests. Earlier this year, Instagram announced new privacy controls that let teen users select topics they want to see more often, such as books, travel, cooking, or sports.
Instagram already allows users to share whether they are interested in the videos suggested to them and it also takes into account their activities like liking or sharing and shows content based on that. Resetting the recommendation algorithm will also allow users to review which accounts they are following and unfollow them if they want.
"We want to make sure everyone, especially teens, has a safe, positive, and age-appropriate experience on Instagram and feels that their time on Instagram is valuable. We want to give teens new ways to shape their Instagram experience so it reflects their changing interests and passions," Meta wrote in a blog post on Tuesday.
