How to get views and engagements in Reels: The Instagram reels craze is on everyone nowadays. Whether it is about watching or making. Nowadays it has become like a competition. If you have made a reel, then you check it again and again to see how much engagement it got. If you make reels and want to get maximum views on them, then for this you will have to turn on a feature of Instagram. You will start seeing engagements even before uploading and you will also know how many viewers you got in how many hours.

There is a feature of Instagram about which very few people know. This feature helps in increasing the reach. With this feature, you can 'test' the reel before showing it to everyone. The name of this feature is 'Trail Post/Reel'. Know what it is and how to use it.

What is Instagram's 'Trail' feature?

You can think of this as a 'trailer' or 'test drive' of your reel. When you post a reel with this feature turned on, Instagram does not show it to all your followers. Instead, it shows it to some of your followers or a small audience group for 24 hours.

In these 24 hours, Instagram tells you how many views your reel got, how many likes it got, and how people reacted. By looking at the results of this 'trail', you can decide whether you should post this reel on your profile forever or not.

How to turn on the 'trail' feature?

It is very easy to use this amazing feature. Just follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Create and upload your reel

Edit your reel as usual, write a caption and hashtags, and start the uploading process.

Step 2: Go to the final 'Share' screen

When you reach the screen from where you finally share the reel, stop there.

Step 3: The real secret is hidden in 'Advanced Settings'

Just below the 'Share' button, you will see the option of 'Advanced Settings'. Tap on it.

Step 4: Turn on 'Trail Post'

Inside the advanced settings, you will see a new option like "Trail Post" or "Trail this post for 24 hours". Just turn on the toggle in front of it.

Step 5: Now post and see the magic

Now come back and share your reel. Your reel is now posted in 'Trail Mode'. What will happen after 24 hours?

As soon as 24 hours are over, Instagram will send you a notification. In this, you will see the results of the 'trail' i.e. Insights. Now you will have two options:

Post to Profile: If the results are good and you are happy, then by pressing this button your reel will be published on your profile for all followers.

Discard: If you feel that the reel did not perform well, you can delete it and it will never appear on your profile.

What is the benefit of this feature?

Efforts will not be wasted: Now you will avoid posting any 'flop' reel.

Understand the mood of the audience: You will know what kind of content your followers are liking.

Guarantee of better content: You will post only those reels which are more guaranteed to be played.
