Instagram is now rolling out new analytics features to help content creators better understand the performance of their posts and audience interaction. The Meta-owned platform has said that these updates will help creators understand audience behavior in more detail, especially when and how a user engages with their posts.

Detailed Insights on Reels and Carousels
The biggest addition is Reel Like Insights, which will allow users to see exactly when a viewer liked the video. This will be shown through an interactive chart, which will help to understand which moment captured the most attention of the people. Along with this, other engagement metrics like likes, shares, saves, comments, and how many accounts interacted with the reel will also be visible in the analytics section.

Instagram has also launched Carousel Like Insights, which works similarly but for photo carousel posts. This tool shows which slide in the browser made someone like the post after seeing it. A pie chart will show who is interacting more among followers and non-followers, and which slide got the most likes.

Earlier, creators used to get demographic data (such as age, country, and gender) only at the entire account level. But now Instagram will also show these insights at the post-level. This means that now you will get separate audience details for every reel and post, which will tell which type of audience is liking which content.

Insights on Follower Growth
Instagram has also upgraded its Followers Insights section. Now, creators will be able to see which reel or post was most effective in increasing their followers. This section will have details of new follows, unfollows, and overall growth trends, all of which will be in a fixed period. This will help in understanding which content is best for audience growth.

The last new addition is the updated Viewers Metric, which, according to Instagram, will soon replace 'Accounts Reached'. This new metric will show total engagement in a better way. In this, interactions will be classified according to the content type, which will show which content is bringing the most activity on the platform.

All these features are gradually rolling out to users globally and are part of Instagram's ongoing efforts to give creators data that can help them improve their content strategy.
