Indian Railways Train Diversion List: Passengers planning to travel by train during the month of May need to exercise a bit of caution this time around. Due to non-interlocking work being carried out at Jaunpur Junction in Uttar Pradesh, the routes of several trains have been diverted. This work is part of a yard remodeling project intended to improve train speeds and operational efficiency in the future; however, it is currently causing some inconvenience. More than 40 trains, including the Vande Bharat Express, have been affected by these changes. The routes of some trains have been altered, scheduled station stoppages have been removed in certain instances, and some trains have even been partially cancelled. If your journey is scheduled for the month of May, please ensure you verify your train's details in advance to avoid any last-minute complications.

Why are trains affected?
Yard improvement work is currently underway at Jaunpur Junction (Lucknow Division). As part of this project, pre-non-interlocking and non-interlocking operations are being conducted. Once this work is completed, train operations will become smoother and faster; however, for the time being, these activities have necessitated changes to train services. Consequently, Indian Railways has diverted the routes of several trains, reduced the number of scheduled stoppages at certain locations, and altered the originating and terminating stations for some services.
