Indian Railways Cancelled Trains: These trains will remain cancelled for the next three days; read this news if you have booked a ticket
Indian Railways Cancelled Trains In Upcoming Days: The operation of several trains will be affected in the next three days. Passengers who have booked tickets should check the status before traveling.
Trains Cancelled In Upcoming Days: Approximately 30 million passengers travel by train every day in India. To transport these passengers to their destinations, the railways operate thousands of trains daily. However, several parts of the country are currently experiencing severe cold weather, which is affecting railway operations. Dense fog, weather-related issues, and sometimes security reasons necessitate changes in train schedules. Sometimes trains are delayed, and sometimes they have to be cancelled.
A similar situation has now arisen for the next three days. This news is especially important for passengers traveling through the Tatanagar railway division. The railway administration has decided to cancel several MEMU and passenger trains from January 7, 2026, to January 9, 2026. This step has been taken entirely keeping in mind the safety of the passengers, to prevent any untoward incidents.
Reason for Train Cancellations
The railway administration has stated that the decision to cancel trains has been taken, prioritizing passenger safety. Some sections under the Chakradharpur railway division have become extremely sensitive these days. There is continuous movement of wild elephants on the tracks adjacent to the forest. Sometimes elephants suddenly come onto the railway line, which can pose a major threat to trains.
According to officials, continuing regular train operations in such circumstances is risky. To avoid any accidents and ensure the safety of life and property, the railways have temporarily decided to cancel MEMU and passenger trains. The railways say that train operations will be restored as soon as the situation returns to normal. Passengers are requested to check the train status before traveling.
