Indian Railway: How can you travel if only 3 out of 6 online tickets are confirmed? Will the TTE make you get off the train?

It often happens that when we plan a trip with family or friends, we book tickets for 4-5 people at once. But, due to a heavy crowd, not all tickets are confirmed.
Every day, millions of people travel by train in India. Be it a wedding, a trip, or travel for work, the train is the most reliable and affordable means of travel. It often happens that when we plan a trip with family or friends, we book tickets for 4-5 people at once. But, due to a heavy crowd, not all tickets are confirmed, in such a situation, suppose you booked tickets for 6 people together, and out of that, only 3 people's tickets were confirmed and the rest 3 remained in waiting, in such a situation the biggest question arises, can passengers with waiting list board the train? Will the TTE make them get off? Or will they be fined? So let's know what are the rules of the railway and how can we travel if only 3 out of 6 online tickets are confirmed, will the TTE make them get off the train.
What are the rules of the railway?
When you book tickets for many people in a single booking, a PNR (Passenger Name Record) number is generated. This number is a record of the complete information of your ticket. Like who are travelling, which train it is, seat number, station etc. Tickets of a maximum of 6 people can be booked on one PNR. Now the tickets of some of these passengers can be confirmed, and some can remain in the waiting list. Earlier, if some tickets were confirmed on a single PNR and some were in the waiting list, then all the passengers could board the train. Even if the waiting passengers did not get a seat, they could travel in the train. The TTE did not make them get off.
Now the railways have made it clear that only the passenger whose ticket is confirmed can travel in the train. Passengers with waiting list tickets cannot travel in Sleeper or AC coaches. If your ticket is still in waiting list even after the chart is prepared, you cannot board that coach. If you do so, the TTE can deboard you from the train, and you can be fined or even imprisoned.
How can you travel if only 3 out of 6 online tickets are confirmed?
The 3 passengers whose tickets are confirmed can travel comfortably, those whose tickets are still in waiting list even after the chart is prepared cannot travel in Sleeper or AC coaches. If the waiting list ticket is converted to RAC (Reservation Against Cancellation), you can board the train, but you will have to share your seat i.e. two people will travel on one berth. Apart from this, if your ticket is in waiting list and is not confirmed, then you should buy a general ticket from the station or book a general ticket from the UTS app. If you board the coach without a ticket or a waiting ticket, action can be taken against you.
What does IRCTC do with waiting tickets?
If you have booked a ticket online and it is not confirmed (remains in waiting even after the chart is prepared), then IRCTC auto-cancels that ticket and refunds your money. Therefore, you do not need to cancel the ticket. If someone's journey is cancelled in the train and the seat is vacant, then the TTE can give the seat to someone on the waiting list.
