These brokers are targeting rural and less informed students and their parents. Students are being misled by fake promises and wrong methods. This can put their future in danger.

With the announcement of the results of 12th in CBSE, ICSE, and board examinations of different states, the admission process in the colleges and universities of Gautam Buddha Nagar district is in full swing. Lakhs of students are applying for admission in courses like engineering, management, law, pharmacy, biotechnology, and journalism. However, a serious problem is coming up in this process. Actually, due to the increasing activities of admission brokers, students and parents are being misled.

Who are being targeted?

These brokers are especially targeting rural and less informed students and their parents. Students are being misled by fake promises and wrong methods. This can put not only their money but also their future in danger. In some colleges, people are being misled in the name of placement. At the same time, in many places, students are being lured with the best facilities. In such a situation, students are not able to get facilities in colleges and universities.

This is how brokers are trapping them in the net

If sources are to be believed, misleading propaganda is being done through social media. Brokers lure students by doing fake college promotions on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram and then contact them personally. Students are trapped in the name of admission, in which they get huge profits in the name of commission from the colleges. After the board exams, the data of the students is collected and they are contacted directly through calls or messages. Heavy recovery is done in the name of donation. At the same time, donations of Rs 50,000 to 5 lakh are sought by claiming to get seats in prestigious colleges.

This is how the scam is happening

Money is taken from students in the name of donation in connivance with colleges and pulses. According to sources, fake mark sheets and degrees are also being traded. Some brokers are getting admission by preparing fake certificates from less recognized boards of North East and South India. If AKTU University investigates this, a big disclosure can be made. Agents stand outside the colleges. Agents are active in places like Pari Chowk and Knowledge Park, who mislead the outside students.

How can students choose the right college?

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) Vice Chancellor Professor JP Pandey said in a conversation with ABP News that to prevent fraud, the mark sheets of students are checked through Digi Locker. He has advised the students to be careful. Do check the official website of the college. See whether the college is affiliated to AICTE, UGC, NBA, NAAC and NIRF or not. Do visit the college campus. Talk to the students studying in the institute and get information. Apart from this, participate in the transparent admission process through national level examinations like government counseling process JEE, CUET. If any kind of halt information is received then action is taken on it.
