Important news for those using UPI! Payment will not be made on this day, do the transaction in advance
UPI payments are becoming increasingly popular in India, but if you use UPI for transactions, then there is important news for you. On August 4, UPI payments will be temporarily unavailable for HDFC Bank users due to scheduled system maintenance. The bank has issued a downtime alert specifying the maintenance window.
According to the notification, the maintenance will be from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm, during which all online payment services will be suspended. This downtime will last for about 180 minutes, which means you will be unable to make UPI transactions for about three hours. This will affect all HDFC Bank account holders, including both savings and current account users, as well as access to many third-party apps.
Affected apps:
This maintenance will affect various apps used for UPI transactions, including the HDFC mobile banking app, Google Pay (GPay), WhatsApp Pay, Paytm, Shriram Finance, and Mobikwik. However, transactions using POS terminals will not be affected, and you will still be able to use these services.
Scheduled system maintenance is a common occurrence due to technical updates and issues. It usually takes 3 to 5 hours and banks inform their customers well in advance about any interruption in service or potential technical issues during this period.
